Welcome to our web site which is designed to give FREE information to consumers regarding “in car safety” for children under 12 years of age and the use of "child car seats".

Carseatinfo is brought to you by Kidex Ltd as part of our community programme and is designed to give you as accurate information as possible relating to children’s "car seats" and how to fit them. We also work alongside our local city council offering FREE advice at car seat safety days.

Research shows that about 80% of child car seats fitted are either fitted incorrectly or that the car seat simply do not fit the car the seat is fitted in.

Kidex Ltd. work exclusively in the baby & nursery industry and we have staff with well over thirty years industry experience. As a company we have several different divisions and our activities include sales, consultancy, product compliance advice, design and training.

In relation to in car safety we can offer training to consumers, retailers and in some instances road safety officers and have appeared on both national and local TV.

We opperate this web site simply because there is a tremendous amount of poor advice in regard to child car seats and we believe ALL parents and children should have the benefit of good in car safety advice.

Recommended retailers and fitters DO NOT pay to have an entry on our site.  They are listed purely because we know they are passionate about in car safety and dedicated to give you the best possible advice.  All of them has years of experience in fitting "child car seats". We would also like to draw your attention to a recent undercover retailer car seat fitting investigation from Which? magazine that showed that 85% of independent retailers fitted car seats correctly and gave good advice.

In comparison, multiple retailers fitted over 60% INCORRECTLY!   You will note that we dont recommend a single multiple retailer in this section and with our principal trainer having lots of experience at training at multiples we know who is best both in regard to fitting car seats and the buying of other nursery products.  The multiple retailers checked included Mothercare, John Lewis, Mamas & Papas, Halfords & Babies R Us. Because in car safety is NOT an "exact science" rather like health professionals, advice on some issues can sometimes differ between in car experts & retailers.

Be assured however that all the information by us and the retailers mentioned in this web site is given with your childs safety as the only concern.   We do not accept or use images from car seat suppliers or manufactures and accordingly retain rights of copyright.  Just one final point. It is UNSAFE to buy a car seat online and it is UNSAFE to use a second hand car seat.
