Recommended Fitters

These are the best of the best!

On this page we give the names of the retailers & fitters who we know are top class in fitting car seats. If you know of a retailer (or other body) passionate about in car safety please e mail us with their details so we can check it out and perhaps include them on this page.

We do need to make a few points. Firstly we do not include any national retailers as we have concerns that most of them employ staff who only work a few hours a week but are then expected to be "experts" when clearly they have no chance of being one. We may however consider individual staff members if nominated. For independent retailers in car safety is a matter of both pride and passion it's not "just a job" so we believe they offer the best service. The retailers we recommend DO NOT pay to have a entry on this site they are here by invitation due to the excellent work they do.

Secondly, we appreciate that our opinions may not be fully shared by the retailers & fitters we recommend. For example they may not like or even stock some car seats we feel are "best buys". In car safety is not a exact science and we accept views from fitter to fitter may vary  though we did contact many fitters for their recommendations in relation to which car seats they feel offer consumers the best options.  Please remember not all car seats fit all cars.
